What was is....

We wanted to capture the groove of those Organ Trio's of the 60's but make it our own way. It was with a vision of playing smart but playing in the groove. There was no rehearsal just takes and find the best one. This way it kept it fresh and live sounding.

• The opening number Burnin' was written in trying to keep the tradition of the groove thang happening.

• Borboelta Linda means Beautiful Butterfly in Portuguese. Something that grows and is free.

• My Orange Autumn was written after listening to some Monk

• Iced Blue was the first tune written for this project and dedicated to Jimmy Smith

• Pilar is written for Maipi (Ritche's wife)

• The Teacher is written for and dedicated to Billy Bauer, Jazz Master, mentor and friend.
